Anchor Brewing Liberty Ale

Anchor Brewing company, is known for San Francisco’s famous Anchor Steam. They also have other beers too, there Liberty Ale is one of them. This beer was first brewed  in 1975 as a seasonal ale, to celibate the bicentennial of Paul Revere’s Historic ride. In the 1980’s it became so popular they started to make it regularly. I first tried this beer in the early 90’s, in some goth club in Berkeley. This is the first dry hoped beer I ever had, although at the time I didn’t know it, or what that even meant. I don’t remember what I thought of it back then. Know I think how progressive this beer was for its time, to dry hope a beer, when other american beers were not the savory frothy beverages they are today. Back then as far as I know most of them I think were more like corn or rice malt watery beverages, than beer. Liberty Ale has a nice golden color and frothy head, a good aroma and a taste you are going to have to experience for your self. I think this a very fine ale and leaves you with a satisfying taste.
